Associate Veterinarian

The Associate Veterinarian works closely with the Director of Veterinary Services to provide nearly 250 chimpanzees with high quality veterinary care through a combination of a comprehensive preventative health program, daily monitoring, and advanced diagnostics.

Annual Giving Manager

The Annual Giving Manager will be responsible for developing a comprehensive strategy for annual giving in conjunction with the Chief Development Officer. S/he will execute and track data-driven, multi-year fundraising plans, providing analysis and recommendations for increasing campaign outcomes. This will result in broadening Save the Chimps’ donor base, providing strong leadership annual giving and major gifts donor pipelines, and generating a growing revenue stream for the organization. This person will be a key driver for messaging to both existing and prospective donors, continually adapting a fresh, compelling, and brand-conscious case for support for Save the Chimps’ annual giving program.

Care Technician I

The Care Technician 1 (CT1) position is responsible for performing moderately skilled labor –intensive tasks in the care and well-being of the chimpanzees. A CT1 cleans indoor and outdoor areas of the chimpanzee buildings, washes and hangs laundry, cleans toys, distributes enrichment, checks locks, and may be required to give medications to the chimpanzees. A CT1 also assists with monitoring the chimpanzees’ health and wellbeing, preparing meals and enrichment, and cleaning food preparation and storage areas.

The Director of Veterinary Services is primarily responsible for overseeing the effective functioning of the veterinary department and for ensuring that the medical care needs of our nearly 250 resident chimpanzees are adequately met.
