Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager will report to the Chief Financial Officer, performing routine accounting tasks to include maintaining the general ledger, recording revenue, processing accounts payables, processing month-end, and year-end closings, assisting with audits and partnering with program directors and managers to ensure their expenditures are recorded accurately and aligned with their budget. This position will assist with payroll processing and reconciliation.

Assistant Veterinarian

The Assistant Veterinarian works closely with the Director of Veterinary Services to ensure the chimpanzees receive the highest quality of medical care. The candidate will provide full time veterinary care for sanctuary chimpanzees – this will include surgical procedures, diagnostics, preventative medicine, and necropsies.

Care Technician I

The Care Technician 1 (CT1) position is responsible for performing moderately skilled labor –intensive tasks in the care and well-being of the chimpanzees. A CT1 cleans indoor and outdoor areas of the chimpanzee buildings, washes and hangs laundry, cleans toys, distributes enrichment, checks locks, and may be required to give medications to the chimpanzees. A CT1 also assists with monitoring the chimpanzees’ health and wellbeing, preparing meals and enrichment, and cleaning food preparation and storage areas.

Kitchen Assistant

The Kitchen Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of food service, meal prep, inventory handling, enrichment and general support activities in the kitchen as directed by the Kitchen Supervisor. The Kitchen Assistant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, refrigerated areas, department vehicles, etc.
