Care Technician II

The Care Technician II (CT2) position is responsible for performing highly skilled physical and mentally intensive tasks in the care and well-being of the chimpanzees. This is a full-time, non-exempt position (40 hours per weeks). A CT2 is assigned to one of five sections within the sanctuary, and works under the direct supervision of the Section Curator. A CT2 is responsible for the safe, compassionate, and efficient operation of the care needs for the chimpanzee groups. A CT2 is responsible for feeding, medicating, and observing the chimpanzees in their assigned sections.

Grant Writer

Save the Chimps is looking for an experienced Grant Writer to develop successful and compelling proposals as part of its overall development strategy.
This position will be responsible for researching and identifying, public, private and corporate foundation and other funding opportunities. Will work with key Save the Chimps staff to identify and prioritize fundraising needs. Will be responsible for successfully managing and building key relationships with various funders as well as drafting all proposals and required reporting.

Certified Veterinary Technician

Save the Chimps is looking to add an additional Certified Veterinary Technician to join our growing and expanding team. We provide high quality clinical care to over 200 chimpanzees retired from laboratories, entertainment and the pet trade. We are looking for compassionate employee who is able to work both as a team member and independently. Applicants must be able to work full-time which will include one weekend day.
The following is a list of the essential functions of this position. Veterinary technical proficiency is required. Primate experience, especially chimpanzee, is highly preferred.
