Associate Veterinarian

The Associate Veterinarian works closely with the Director of Veterinary Services to provide nearly 250 chimpanzees with high quality veterinary care through a combination of a comprehensive preventative health program, daily monitoring, and advanced diagnostics.

Care Technician I

The Care Technician 1 (CT1) position is responsible for performing moderately skilled labor –intensive tasks in the care and well-being of the chimpanzees. A CT1 cleans indoor and outdoor areas of the chimpanzee buildings, washes and hangs laundry, cleans toys, distributes enrichment, checks locks, and may be required to give medications to the chimpanzees. A CT1 also assists with monitoring the chimpanzees’ health and wellbeing, preparing meals and enrichment, and cleaning food preparation and storage areas.

Director of Veterinary Services

The Director of Veterinary Services is primarily responsible for overseeing the effective functioning of the veterinary department and for ensuring that the medical care needs of our nearly 250 resident chimpanzees are adequately met.

Executive Assistant

The Executive Assistant’s primary responsibilities will be central to the daily functions of Save the Chimps’ senior leadership team, completing tasks that will ensure smooth operations and providing project support across each program area. The Executive Assistant will be the primary administrative support person for the Executive Director and the Chief Development Officer, while also serving as liaison to the Board of Directors.
