Assistant Director of Veterinary Services

The Assistant Director of Veterinary Services works closely with the Director of Veterinary Services to ensure the chimpanzees receive the highest quality of medical care. The candidate will provide full time veterinary care for sanctuary chimpanzees – this will include surgical procedures, diagnostics, preventative medicine, and necropsies.

Executive Assistant

The Executive Assistant’s primary responsibilities will be central to the daily functions of Save the Chimps’ senior leadership team, completing tasks that will ensure smooth operations and providing project support across each program area. The Executive Assistant will be the primary administrative support person for the Executive Director and the Chief Development Officer, while also serving as liaison to the Board of Directors. S/he will also provide administrative support, as assigned, to other members of the senior leadership team, including the Chief Financial Officer, Director of Chimpanzee Care Services, Director of Veterinary Services, Director of Facilities and Project Management, Behavioral Care Manager, and Human Resources Manager.

Maintenance Tech 1

Welding Maintenance Technician

The Welding Maintenance Technician is part of the Facilities team which cross-supports duties for all sanctuary maintenance activities. The primary responsibility for this position is to deliver high quality welding on cages and structures to assure non-compromised safety of the chimpanzees and the caregiving staff. When not actively involved in metalwork, this position will support other sanctuary maintenance actives as needed or directed by sanctuary leadership.
