Save the Chimps Events

 

Member Day – October 5, 2019

Sponsored by CenterState Bank and Kmetz, Elwell, Graham & Associates. 

Become a member and tour the beautiful 150-acre chimpanzee sanctuary, home to nearly 240 chimpanzees. Save the Chimps is closed to the public but host two Member Days each year.  Members will observe the chimpanzees as they roam the islands covered in grass, palm trees, hills, and climbing structures. Seeing these sights is a one-of-a-kind experience!  Looking for 2020 dates? Registration is not yet open for 2020 but save the dates – February 15 and October 3, 2020!

 

All Things Chimp Online Auction – November 8-17th, 2019

Save the date for the All Things Chimp Online Auction, where you will find over 100 items to bid on. There something for everyone including experiences at the sanctuary, art by our chimpanzee residents, artist renderings of chimpanzees, Save the Chimps swag, and more! We are currently seeking donations for this auction. Please contact enews@savethechimps.org

 

Sunset at the Sanctuary – December 6th, 4pm

Sunset at the Sanctuary is an annual event to celebrate the lives of our residents, the immense generosity of our board, and  a time to say thank you to our most generous supporters. By invitation only.

 

6th Annual Chimpathon – April 19, 2020

Whether it’s running or walking that you love, we hope you will join us for our sixth annual Chimpathon and spot Doc running on his island home!

This unique course takes you through Save the Chimps – the world’s largest privately funded chimpanzee sanctuary, located in Fort Pierce, Florida. Enjoy hearing the wonderful sounds of pant hoots and watching the chimpanzees roam as you run beside their island homes.
