See Save the Chimps’ residents at their finest in their chimpanzee habitat. Observe chimpanzee social behavior, expressions, and habits with these pictures of our chimpanzees. Browse Save the Chimps’ Photo Gallery  for a glimpse at chimp artwork, and even chimp parties! We have a great selection of photos of the chimpanzees, so that we can share with you their beautiful faces and daily activities. Our collection of photos also includes our devoted staff, wonderful volunteers, and Save the Chimps founder Dr. Carole Noon, without whom we would not be where we are today.

Chimpanzee Artists

Chimpanzees are wonderful artists.  As a form of enrichment, we provide some of  them with canvas, paint and a brush.  They create beautiful masterpieces, each unique.  Visit our gift shop to purchase your one-of-a-kind chimpanzee painting.

Chimpanzees Roaming the islands

The chimpanzees at our sanctuary have plenty of space to roam.  On any given day you can see them roaming their 3-5 acre island, playing with friends or just relaxing. Because chimpanzees don't swim, water acts as a natural barrier and we are able to provide them with a life outdoors.  Our 12 island sanctuary allows them to explore their island and feel the warm Florida sun on their back and the grass beneath their feet.

Chimpanzees Having Fun

The chimpanzees really do know how to have a good time and enjoy their surroundings. We make sure they stay active and have enough interaction and stimulation to have a healthy, enriching life. The pictures of these chimps really capture life here at the Save the Chimps Sanctuary.

These Chimps Know How to Party

Just like us, chimpanzees like to party. Throughout the year, the chimps enjoy the holidays as much as we do! Whether it's Valentine's Day, Halloween, or Thanksgiving, the caregivers and volunteers will use any excuse to throw the chimps a party, complete with streamers and special treats.  The chimps are particularly fond of pumpkins and candy as seen during Chimpoween 2009
