Not able to volunteer on-site, but still interested in helping the chimps? There are many ways you can assist us. Off-site volunteers, in fact, are limited only by their imaginations! Here are just a few ideas:

 
Collect and deliver donations

A number of volunteers who collect items listed on our wish list (such as toys, food, shredded paper, etc.) from friends, neighbors, or coworkers, and then mail or deliver the items to us in person. Be creative about how you collect: one group of volunteers recently placed a collection box in a local health food store. They deliver the in-kind and cash donations to us on a regular basis.
 

Ask Merchants to Display Save the Chimps information

One of the ways you can help is by visiting local merchants and asking them if they would be willing to display Save the Chimps’ brochures on their countertop or office. This is an easy way to spread the word about Save the Chimps. We’ll provide you with all the materials necessary - it’s an easy way to Speak Out for Them.

Table Events

Save the Chimps could use your help tabling events out-of-state. One of the best ways to get the word out about the work we do is by reaching an audience that has not heard of us. Tabling eco-friendly events or festivals is a great way to meet like-minded people as well as learn about what is going on in our world. You provide the time, we provide the materials – it’s as simple as that!  If this seems like something you would be interested in doing, please e-mail  Volunteer@savethechimps.org .

Sales

We have volunteers who have yard sales or bake sales to raise money and awareness for our beloved chimpanzee residents. Save the Chimps would be happy to supply you with brochures and other promotional items to  distribute.   Email  volunteer@savethechimps.org to request items.
 

 Make decorations 

If you are artistic or creative and would like to make decorations for the chimps, please send them to the Florida sanctuary for the chimps to enjoy.  If you are unsure of what to make, please send an email to volunteer@savethechimps.org.
