Save the Chimps' Treasure Coast Debut
November 19, 2009 was a special night for Save the Chimps and residents of the Treasure Coast. Save the Chimps held its first Fundraiser/Silent Auction at Cobalt Restaurant located at the Vero Beach Hotel & Spa and raised over $19,000!! An ocean front patio was the perfect setting for the evening as African drumbeats filled the air. Over 200 supporters joined STC’s Board of Directors and staff to hear unique stories about the chimps as well as bid on items such as African tapestries collected by STC’s founder Dr. Carole Noon, original chimp art, DVDs and books signed by celebrities and designer accessories.
Thank you to everyone who attended and donated on behalf of the event. It was a great success thanks to your support.
