Hose2Habitat Workshop Hosted at Save the Chimps

We had the great pleasure and honor of hosting Hose2Habitat last week for a 3-day workshop focusing on creating enrichment items for the chimpanzees in our care out of recycled fire hose including cargo nets, hammocks, ladders, browsers, and more!

Participants from Center for Great Apes, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Lion Country Safari, Brevard Zoo, Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary, and the Florida Institute of Technology Animal Behavior Program joined the workshop, creating items for the chimpanzees in our care while learning skills that will benefit their organizations’ animals. We thank everyone for their hard work and a big pant-hoot thank you to Hose2Habitat for making it happen!
