Chimpanzees are wonderful artists. They love to paint, be it a wall, floor, paper, or even themselves. Put a paintbrush in their hands and watch what they can do.

Chimpanzees Roaming the islands

The Chimpanzees at our sanctuary have a lot of space to roam. On any given day you can see them roaming the island, playing with friends or just relaxing. Our 12 island sanctuary gives them enough room to have control over their own lives and do as they choose.

Chimpanzees Having Fun

The chimpanzees really do know how to have a good time and enjoy their surroundings. We make sure they stay active and have enough interaction and stimulation to have a healthy, enriching life. The pictures of these chimps really capture life here at the Save the Chimps Sanctuary.

These Chimps Know How to Party

Just like us, chimpanzees like to party. Throughout the year, the chimps enjoy the holidays as much as we do! Whether it's Valentine's Day, Halloween, or Thanksgiving, the caregivers and volunteers will use any excuse to throw the chimps a party, complete with streamers and special treats. The pictures below show how much fun the chimps have during the holidays. The chimps are particularly fond of pumpkins and candy, as seen during Chimpoween 2009
