A great big pant hoot goes to this month’s chimp champ – Al’s Family Farms
The chimps here at the sanctuary eat a delicious combination of fresh fruits and vegetables 3 times a day. Oranges are definitely a favorite. Feeding 274 chimps translates to 800 oranges a day…5,600 per week!! Thanks to the compassion and generosity of our local neighbor, Al’s Family Farms, we receive donations of 1000’s of delicious oranges three times per week.

A loud pant hoot thank you goes out to this months chimp champ , Jacqueline, for her generosity and compassion for the chimps. Rather than request toys, clothes and gift cards for her birthday, she asked that all gifts be made to Save the Chimps.

Save the Chimps celebrates their newest Chimp Champs Jody West & Bill Sokol for not only running the New York City Marathon but for also raising nearly $2,500 to sponsor a chimps migration to Florida!!!

Angie Heath has done many interesting things in her life. She has been a sailor, a veterinary assistant, a zoo keeper and a world traveler, helping in animal conservation both in the states and abroad. When she and her husband John returned to Virginia after living in Nanyuki, Kenya for two years, she felt restless. Her love of chimpanzees brought her to Save the Chimps.
